Stolen: Specialized Epic Marathon 2013
About the bicycle
Type:
Mountain Bike
Brand:
Specialized
Model:
Epic Marathon
Year:
2013
Colour:
Black
More about the bike:
It's a stock 2013 size large Specialised Epic Marathon:
- full carbon frame
- Roval control 29er carbon wheels
- Sram X0 and Sram custom cranks
- RockShox Sid 29 Brain fork with 100mm travel
But, with the following modifications from normal: (as shown in photo)
- The saddle is a Fziik Gobi
- I've attached different Ergon handle-bar grips that offer a wider platform for my hands - (see my photos)
- There was a blue and silver Garmin 500 cycling computer/gps attached when it was stolen (see photo). It's easy to detach though.
- There was a Topeak saddle bag attached under the saddle - also easy to detach, but the bracket might still be under the saddle.
- The bottle cage is an unusual V shape on each side (see the photo)
- A rear red LED light and bracket was fitted (again, easy to detach)
- Lyzene Mini Pump, black and silver attached under/next-to bottle cage
- The stem holding the handlebars was a shorter one, make "BBB".
- Shimano M540 SPD pedals - almost brand new
- the chain is made out of 2 KMC X10 halves with 2 master links. I wanted to compare how long they lasted. 1 half = X10SL, other half = X10 93

Sorry to hear that mate.
For that exact reason my carbon wheels (mountain & road) are cable locked to the wall with the mother of locks.
All 4 bikes are chained together.
If they get through all the locks, they can have them and its the insurance's problem.
