GX has been embraced by core mountain bikers the world over for its all-in attitude and all-day ethos. GX now brings its famous no-compromise, budget-minded focus to Eagle Transmission. Utilizing a holistic approach to the entire system, Eagle Transmission sets firm a whole new expectation for the mountain bike drivetrain built around one constant found across all bikes – the center of the wheel and axle. It’s a design that changes the game by eliminating unnecessary parts and allowing all other features to work in perfect relationship to this constant.

GX Eagle Transmission checks the boxes with zero compromise on robustness, reliability, or AXS wireless functionality. The diligent workhorse that never complains, GX Eagle Transmission is designed for riders of like-mind who go hard and never hold back. Showcasing and integrating the very latest Eagle Transmission technology and all for the best possible price. GX Eagle Transmission. Beyond ready to go toe-to-toe with anything. All in. All day.

EAGLE TRANSMISSION

GX EAGLE TRANSMISSION DERAILLEUR RD-GX-E-B1

The GX Eagle Transmission derailleur delivers everything an Eagle Transmission derailleur possibly can, and then some. It features a revised battery position to better protect itself from impacts and to maintain crisp shifting and striking appearance throughout its entire lifespan. Hard-chargers can replace both its protective skid plates and two-piece outer link. It also features a tool-free cage assembly – so it’s both removable and upgradeable too. With a steel inner cage that adds even more robustness, it’s been built for riders of the real world. Just like all Eagle Transmission derailleurs, it’s been engineered with a first-of-its-kind Hangerless Interface, mounting around the wheel axle itself and making direct contact with the cassette with no hanger required.

  • T-Type compatibility
  • Revised battery position, reconfigured gearbox, replaceable skid plates and outer link, tool-free cage and clutch
  • Install and pair via the reliable and familiar standard AXS set-up and pairing procedure
  • Hangerless Interface, Full Mount attachment method
  • Radically clear setup process, no adjustment required
  • AXS battery and Pod controller available separately

GX EAGLE TRANSMISSION CASSETTE CS-XS-1275-A1

The T-Type cassette is a key reason why GX Eagle Transmission offers incredible inboard and outboard shifting performance under load. Thanks to its full X-SYNC design, the harder you pedal, the better it shifts. The nickel plating delivers top-tier durability as well as a quiet shift experience. Featuring 55mm chainline compatibility for a more moderate chain angle, longer wear, and improved precision. It’s 520% range has optimized gear steps featuring larger 38 and 44-teeth cogs. With the clearly marked “Setup Cog”, installation is both simple and foolproof. The cassette utilizes a PinDome design for gears 1-8 and a single piece MINI-CLUSTER for gears 9-12.

  • T-Type compatibility
  • X-SYNC for best-ever inboard and outboard shifting performance under load
  • 520% range with optimized gear steps on low end
  • 55mm chainline compatibility for more moderate chain angle, longer wear, and greater precision

GX EAGLE TRANSMISSION GROUPSET GS-GX-E-D1

The drivetrain embraced by core riders as the all-day best friend is now available in Transmission. The no-compromise, budget minded ethos remains built into the system but is modernized for a new generation of bikes. The GX Eagle Transmission derailleur is every bit as crisp and precise as the other derailleurs in the transmission family and also features removable skid plates for better protection and serviceability. Shifting under load is made possible on the GX cassette due to a combination of X-SYNC technology and Cassette Mapping, creating seamless shifts even during your hardest power output. Based on this, I suspect the derailleur/pod/cassette combo will be around R21k.

I'll need to go without KFC for yet another month 😆

I wish there was a pod with three buttons for the axs dropper.

What do we think is going on here? Looks like the new transmission GX but mounted on a hanger, obviously defeats the axel mounting exercise, but at least makes it backwards compatible, so is an adapter or different derailleur design? Also if it’s an adapter does it mess with shifting?

I suspect this is just someone in the rendering department who screwed up.

Well…technically the 1000$ includes foreign VAT?. But as with everything here…take oversees retail and add 25%🤣 (1000x18=18k +25% = R22500….hey wait a minute haha)

….more like 60% right?…(1000x18 =18k +60% = R28k ish)

bastards….

You know what i meant! Stop trying to be a wiseass all the time😅.
it wasn't necessarily referring to the US. It just happened to be in the universal currency ($).
If it read £800 instead we would know that included 20 odd % lol

Whichever way you look at it…it costs 60% more here than the RRP of $1000/1000€/1000moneys

Depends on your bike neh. Do you have peasant level bike? Then XX1.

this is the way

Rode this on an Ebike yesterday. Must say, the shifting is on a new level, especially with the Ebike load considered. Can hardly feel any shifting happening and basically no noise.

Pity about our heavy price tag here, but I would opt for transmission GX over XX1 AXS. If you are wanting to cut some of the weight, just run a different crank, that will probably be your biggest weight saving.
