Specialized upgrade Command Post and Öhlins Enduro Coil Shock

By Press Office · 3 comments

Nothing beats a smokin’ hot new upgrade to your mountain bike, right? Specialized is excited to introduce two exciting new upgrades in the new Command Post IRcc and the Öhlins Enduro Coil Shock at the Sea Otter Classic this April 16th-19th.

The All-New Command Post IRcc

Our internally routed Command Post has been touted as one of the best performing adjustable seatposts on the market.

With its dependable mechanical collet design, adjustable air spring, and super-adjustable alien head, your ride is always more fun with a Command Post. We wanted to make finding the perfect position even easier. So as opposed to 3 positions, the new Cruise Control post has 12 micro-adjustable positions.

  • Find your perfect post in 125, 100, and 75mm options in 30.9 & 31.6mm (75mm has 10 positions).
  • Energized triple-lip wiper prevents contamination.
  • Easy to adjust micro-adjustable head.
  • SRL (single ring lever) lever and bar-mounted lever options.

Partnering with a company like Öhlins provides the pinnacle of shock design, tuned specifically for a Specialized bike such as the Demo or Enduro EVO. These shocks offer so much traction and control that we wanted to offer this amazing upgrade to even more platforms. Their patented twin-tube design on an Enduro will blow your mind.

  • Fits on 2012 and newer 29”/650b/26” non-EVO Enduro frames.
  • High/low speed compression & rebound adjustments.
  • Spherical bearing mount & 24-pound spring increments to get just the right sag.

Also available at Specialized retailers will be an increased availability of Öhlins shocks in more standard sizes. Same performance, wider selection.

  • Öhlins 8.5×2.5” TTX shock
  • Öhlins 8.75×2.75” TTX shock
  • Öhlins 9.5×3.0” TTX shock
  • Öhlins 10.5×3.5” TTX shock

12 height adjustment options?  Really?  Come on.  You actually don't HAVE to change every friggin product, you know.  Whatever happened to "if it aint broke, don't fix it"?

I almost never use the middle "cruise" level.  It's up or down for me, but the 3 level setting is fine.  This is silly.
