The fifth generation of Cannondale’s iconic road race bike arrives with a lighter frame, new aero cockpit, and a sharper focus on pure performance.

Cannondale has officially taken the wraps off the fifth-generation SuperSix EVO, and the brief was clear: make the lightest road race bike in the peloton even faster. The result is a frame that sheds weight across every carbon layup, offers meaningful aero gains, and introduces a completely new integrated cockpit: the SystemBar Road.

Developed in close collaboration with the EF Education-EasyPost and EF Education-Oatly professional cycling teams, the SuperSix represents the culmination of years of wind tunnel testing, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis, and real-world race feedback.
SuperSix EVO: Faster Everywhere
The headline story is weight. Cannondale has trimmed material across all three carbon layups: the flagship Series 0 (LAB71), the Hi-Mod, and the standard carbon. The LAB71 frameset now tips the scales at just 1.12 kg (painted, size 56), while frame weight across the range drops compared to Gen. 4.

Aerodynamically, the Gen. 5 holds its own too. Cannondale’s engineers refined the tube profiles to improve the aero efficiency of the already slippery Gen. 4, while the real wind-cheating gains come from the new SystemBar Road cockpit — a truncated-airfoil-shaped integrated bar that also features a 20mm flare for improved handling and comfort.

Geometry has been sharpened as well. A 10mm reduction in stack height puts riders in a more aggressive race position, and 8 frame sizes (44 through 61) ensure a fit for almost everyone. Maximum tyre clearance is 32mm, which is ample for the road but clearly signals this bike’s racing intent.
Key Highlights
Lightest disc frame and fork ever from Cannondale. The Series 0 frameset tips the scales at just 728g for the frame and 392g for the fork (size 56, painted with all bonded parts). That’s a net saving of 72g over the prior generation for the top-tier layup, with savings of 37g and 35g for the Hi-MOD and Carbon layups respectively.
Even lower aerodynamic drag. Wind tunnel testing confirms a yaw-weighted drag saving of 0.003 m² over the fourth generation, measured at 40 km/h road speed. Every tube on the EVO is derived from a true NACA aerofoil profile, carefully truncated and sculpted to manage airflow without adding unnecessary mass.
All-new SystemBar cockpits. Two new cockpit options debut on the fifth-generation EVO. The SystemBar Road features a truncated airfoil shape with a narrow top and 20mm of flare per side for precise handling. It’s the same bar ridden by Ben Healy to World Championship bronze in Rwanda. For weight-obsessed riders, the SystemBar Road SL weighs just 265g and is paired with SL-spec builds that bring the LAB71 SL to just 6.4 kg out of the box.
Proportional Response design. From carbon layup through to geometry, everything on the SuperSix EVO is tuned and tested by frame size. Bottom bracket and head tube stiffness are progressive with size, so every rider gets optimal mechanical properties scaled to their build. Stiffness does not vary between the three carbon layups, rather, Cannondale reduces weight through different composite materials and layup techniques without sacrificing ride characteristics.
Racier geometry. The Gen 5 features a 10mm lower stack height than its predecessor for a more aggressive race position, alongside 32mm maximum tyre clearance for comfort and reduced rolling resistance. Frames are now designed exclusively for electronic shifting.

Delta Steerer and integrated details. Cannondale’s unique Delta Steerer keeps the cockpit tidy with fully internal cable routing while reducing frontal area for aero gains. New CarbonGrip Aero bottle cages deliver a 26% weight reduction and improved retention, integrating seamlessly with the frame for further drag reduction.
The Bottom Line
The Gen. 5 SuperSix EVO is a clear statement of intent from Cannondale: this is a no-compromise race bike that doesn’t try to be anything else. It’s lighter, marginally more aero, and benefits from a seriously impressive integrated cockpit.
SuperSlice: The Showcase of Speed
Developed by the same team of engineers and PhD aerodynamicists that created the SystemSix and SuperSix EVO, the third-generation SuperSlice is purpose-built to dominate WorldTour time trials and smash triathlon bike splits.

Key Highlights
14% less drag, saving 10 watts at 50 km/h. The new SuperSlice produces 0.0064 m² less yaw-weighted drag than its predecessor. Every tube shape, junction, and component went through dozens of CFD iterations, with particular focus on the front-end interaction between fork, head tube, down tube, and front wheel.
Fully integrated SystemBar TT cockpit. An all-new full carbon base bar with mono-riser and Vision Speed JS-Bend extensions replaces the previous setup.
Same weight, dramatically faster. Weight savings in the base bar offset gains in the fork, netting a bike that is significantly faster at just 60g more than the outgoing model.
Improved handling and versatility. Updated steering geometry and clearance for 32mm tyres give riders more confidence on varied courses. The seatpost offers 45mm of fore-aft adjustability, translating to effective seat tube angles from 74° to 77°.Triathlon-ready. While developed with the time-trial specialists at EF Pro Cycling, the SuperSlice is equally suited to triathlon. Its aero advantage, extensive fit adjustability, and 32mm tyre clearance make it a strong option for athletes chasing bike-split PBs across all distances.
