About the Race: A Gravel gathering like no other
Now in its fifth edition, The Tanqua Kuru Bicycle Race – presented by Sling is probably the most unique bicycle race in the world. Born in the desert dust of the Tankwa Karoo, this two-day stage race is where premium adventure meets full-throttle fun, with escape and connection front and centre.
Some call it a race. Others call it a pilgrimage.

Here’s what to expect in 2025:
Dates: 23–25 May 2025
Location: Tankwa Tented Camp
Friday:
- Late afternoon drag race dash on the runway, against a Sling
Saturday:
