Monster Energy have invited me to cover the 2015 Suzuki Nine Knights from the Italian Alps.
For those unfamiliar with Nine Knights, it’s a freeride exhibition being hosted for the fifth year in Livigno, Italy. The idea is to bring top riders together in a relaxed environment with a progressive course to watch them push their limits. At the end of the day, the riders will also compete for the best style, best trick, biggest air and to be crowned the overall champion.
Check out the highlights from last year’s Suzuki Nine Knights:
The Course: IL Castello
One of the most innovative freeride course constructions in the world. The course contains 19 “Obstacles”, some of the jumps launch the athletes 15 meters long and 6 meters high. The wooden “il Castello“ drop-in tower is 10m tall 12m wide. The course also features wall ride, hip jump, step-ups, reverse transitions and a half-pipe.
