Lights By Linea: Hero Challenge #2 taking place at PRIME CIRCUIT

The news is out and we are thrilled to announce that the Lights By Linea Hero Challenge #2 will be held in Stellenbosch Central on Plein and Bird Streets this Saturday, 15 February. This will be the first time that we see category 2 take to the streets in the middle of Stellies. The circuit allows for a tight race, great speed and challenging on corners. This is the circuit that is not to be missed. Thousands of spectators line the route and this makes for a huge party atmosphere!

HERO CHALLENGE 2014, brought to you by LIGHTS BY LINEA in conjunction with KIA DIEP RIVER, TREK BICYCLES, CRAFT CLOTHING and ECENTRIC PAYMENT SYSTEMS is a series that offers high intensity and action packed racing that will be exhilarating for both the cyclists and spectators alike. A challenge for all categories of road cycling enthusiasts.

• 15 February 2014: Stellenbosch Central (Plein Street)
• 22 February 2014: Stellenbosch Aerodrome, Stellenbosch
• 2 March 2014: Century City Boulevard

Bring the family along to catch the most spectator friendly road racing event on the South African road calendar. All the top South African and local athletes racing their heart out to become the HERO! As top local DJ Adam Spence keeps the crowds entertained throughout the day!

Registration will be on Plein Street, Stellenbosch and opens at 13:00pm, registration will be closed to entrants 30 minutes prior to their category. Timing chips will be available at a once off fee of R50.00 from Registration as per the League Timing chip – About2time, should you not already have one.

The format will be as follows:
Cat 2 – start at 15:10 race for 45 minutes and 1 lap / R150.00 entry fee [Vets, Masters, Women]
Cat 1 – start at 16:00 race for 60 minutes and 1 lap / R150.00 entry fee [Elite Men]
