Imprint Grips could be the best thing since the Lock-On clamp

By BikeHubCoreAdmin · 10 comments

Lock-On grips revolutionised the bicycle cockpit, and now Imprint Grips look like they could further add comfort and personalisation to your bike in a way previously impossible.

Released on Kickstarter, the Imprint Grips could bring unfound comfort to every bike out there. And the best part about it is that they can be remoulded again, and again, and again.

Made of a high density polymer with either a plastic or aluminium inner tube, the grips are easy to mould by using boiling water. You wrap them in the provided mesh that makes a diamond shape on the grips, dip them in hot water, ‘quench’ them, grip them to make your mark, then cool them off. After that, remove the mesh and bolt them on your bars.

I think one of the most interesting parts about it is the fact that if some of the pattern wears out, you just remould it and it’s like new.

Now where’s my credit card?

It's a Kickstarter project so the price has probably yet to be determined. But it's estimated to be around the same price as Lock-On grips

Nice idea but imho not necessary and probably a bit dangerous if you don't grip them exactly in the correct place
