Defending champion ready for FNB Magalies Monster

By Press Office · 10 comments

In 2014 well-known German mountain biker/triathlete Nico Pfitzenmaier conquered the FNB Magalies Monster MTB Classic presented by ISUZU on his first attempt in an awe-inspiring time of 03 hours 38 minutes 25 seconds, over 7 minutes ahead of his closest rival. Pitzenmaier’s title defence on Saturday, 23 May 2015 is however bound to be more challenging when he goes up against the likes of Erik Kleinhans of Team RECM.

“I had a lot of fun at the 2014 event,” says Pfitzenmaier. “The route offers a variety of fun single trails and a long, challenging and rough climb to the top of the “Monster,” followed by a fast descent. There were a lot of thorns, so my advice to riders would be to fill the stance levels in their mountain bike tyres. Also be sure to drink a lot of water as it is guaranteed to be hot. My goal will be to have fun on my new bike, while winning it again would be a bonus”.

Hope HT is sufficient. Don't think it will be long before I go full though. This bug has bitten me hard.
