How it works

The Fantasy Tour is all about picking your very own Tour de France dream team. You can choose any riders from any team to make up the ultimate virtual team.

  • Pick your squad of 12 riders: 8 active riders and 4 substitutes.
  • Team submissions close once the Tour begins: at 11h10 SAST on Saturday, 7 July 2018.
  • Substitutes: On the two rest days during the race you’ll have the opportunity to substitute riders. You can drop the non-performers or bring in some fresh legs.
  • Once substituted, riders can be used again, however points are only allocated while a rider is active…. if they’re on the bench you don’t score points.

Pools

This year we have included a new a feature, public and private pools. Now you can square up against your friends, families, and colleagues. Get started by creating your own pools here.

Time to cut the dead wood, subs open in 5 mins. Kittel is not going to take it nicely tomorrow morning when he sees I dropped him from the team. Better put my phone on silent...

Well that was easy to do seeing that I had two red names already.

Couldn't sleep and its not because of the price of bitcoin. Losing Porte will cost me yellow by the second rest day. Hope a few guys (sky) eat bad meat today

I am in the same boat, two picks were easy. Dropping Kittel was also easy. Now for pick number four...

Subs is better than last year at the this stage, had 4 red names and only 3 subs, no choices required.

At least this year I have a say how much my subs are used going into week 2.:)

Porte crashes out just in time to get subbed - I needed to drop a useless GC rider anyway -

Maybe the TDF is just not his race and he should focus on the other grand tours...

Also in the same boat,  hopefulyy the next two weeks we can do a bit better, My position has stayd fairly constant and I would like to see some improvement.

I can see that I picked my team more than a week before the race though without reconsidering any selections.

Bernal two broken fingers

???? is he going to continue?

Between losing 16min and eina fingers there goes any hope of white jersey points[emoji17]

Did you see why he has broken fingers...rode into the back of the BMC car that suddenly stopped

This year is going much better than last year, and all my riders are still active. Which actually now gives me a bit of a headache! Let's see!

Don't be surprised if BMC defend that jersey for a few more days.

sjoe...would be nice to see a view of that from further away.but i suppose if you're going to motorpace cars in the cavalcade eventually your number will be up.

which 2 fingers? with electronic shifting and (give him a) disc brake

No clue.. he says he is fine to continue.. bit of inexperience maybe.. don't draft a team car on the cobbles because they often have to quickly stop..think the BMC car had to stop because of the ambo in front of it?

Struggling to see GvA finishing with the GC guys on the first stage after the rest day. Perhaps Jungles will effectively be in Yellow after the first climb and his team will try to ride for him...

damn

9 guys dropped out in this first week, and I'm sure like me many people had richie on their squad. With Bling out as well, my picks are quite easy. The only other guy to leave that would really affect things is das panzerwagen, but doubt many people would have had him in for week2 anyway

505 guys picked him on the first week which was not for the GC guys, not sure how many more had him on the bench too.

got to feel for the 6 people who have picked him already for week 2

totally agree with you.

but short of options, I'm going to pick him anyway!

the one thing GVA did do well, is make sure that teamleader #2, TJ was out of the GC running about 1 hour after his elevation to that status
