The reigning E-Bike World Champion Joris Ryf lined up in Lourensford to start the FNB W2W Pinotage alongside honourary local, and S-Racing team manager, Benno Willeit. The pair powered to a comprehensive victory, winning the title by 32 minutes and 4 seconds.
E-bike racing is a fairly new, and sometimes contentious, addition to race rosters. It dials up the speed and intensity at the sharp end of the field, and the fun factor for all involved, as well as allowing riders that otherwise wouldn’t be able to, to participate in events and experience the joy of cycling.
