Compendium Gravel Growl

Burg Wheelers Cycling Club is proud to present the inaugural COMPENDIUM GRAVEL GROWL on Sunday 10th September from the Curry’s Post Primary School. Curry’s Post is an untapped cycling gem in the KZN Midlands, nestled between the popular Karkloof Valley and Nottingham Road and offers some of the best cycling terrain in the KZN Midlands.

Burg Wheelers Cycling Club is one of KZN’s biggest cycling clubs and is based in Pietermaritzburg. With a growing interest in off-road cycling, commonly known as ‘gravel grinding’ the club decided to organise a gravel event to expose this relatively new discipline to more riders and share some of the beautiful ‘country roads’ the KZN Midlands has to offer. The routes have been carefully selected by experienced gravel riders who understand what makes for an enjoyable and memorable ride !

The Curry’s Post community have backed the event 100% and are pulling out all the stops to welcome us to their area and showcase the many attractions they have to offer. Proceeds from the event will go towards supporting the Curry’s Post Primary School and the Curry’s Post Conservancy.

The event offers affordable entry fees, carefully planned routes (85km, 45km, 28km options), well stocked water tables, some great prizes and lucky draws and an overall value-for-money package. And hopefully a perfect Spring day for riding. We look forward to welcoming you to CURRY’S POST on Sunday 10th September !
