In short, Grinduro South Africa is precisely what the name implies: a gravel road race combined with mountain bike-style enduro, featuring single track, downhill climbs, and rolling hills where finishing times are determined by four timed segments rather than an overall loop time. 

You have the option to participate in the full Grinduro distance, which includes a 30 km prologue on Friday, a 100 km ride with four intervals on Saturday, and a 20 km leisurely ride on Sunday. Alternatively, you can choose the Grindurito option, which consists of the full distance on Friday, half the distance (approximately 50 km) on Saturday, and the full distance on Sunday.

Join us for one day of fun! On Saturday, you can choose to ride the Full Grinduro distance or the shorter Grindurito distance.

More than just a gravel race, Grinduro South Africa is a weekend-long celebration of gravel cycling that values fun as much as the ride itself. The event offers delicious South African cuisine, a bike “expo” featuring different brands showcasing their products, live music in a festive atmosphere, and options for camping or glamping.
