The Exploration Challenge

For those of you new to Adventure Races

-The Exploration Challenge is a fun filled race involving basic navigation (treasure hunt style) open to teams comprising 2 trail runners or 2 mountain bikers.

-Your objective, to get to as many checkpoints as you can in 3 hours.

-The Exploration Challenge is suitable for both beginner and hardcore athletes with a sense of adventure. We encourage beginners and families to come and enjoy a great morning in this exciting and unique style event with an option of sticking to the easy "route" and we challenge the experienced competitor to push themselves as they seek those checkpoints in harder to reach places.

So whether you are a weekend rider or a racing snake, bring your partner and a lot of enthusiasm and let the race begin!

The fee is R 650 per team and includes 3 hours of fun and adventure, prizes to podium finishers and refreshments upon completion of the event. All funds go towards West Coast National Park for projects to improve the park and conservation efforts.

Entries limited to 75 teams for trail running and mountain biking each. Entries open on 4 November 2024. Do not miss out!
