About the event
The Berg 100 is a 1 day 109km MTB/Gravel ride in the KZN Midlands. Aimed at being non technical, this races challenge lies in the distance.
Riders will start and finish in Nottingham Road. The route is a loop in and out of the village. There are small sections of tar as you enter and leave Notties but the rest of the route is gravel roads and small section of jeep track. Elevation gain of around 2000m.
Established 12 years ago this event has grown from strength to strength and continues to lure riders up for challenge to our doorstep!
For those who cannot fathom 109km we have the Berg lite which is 67km. This follows the same gravel road format as the Berg 100, yet is slightly more distance friendly.
The routes are through the green natal midlands but also incorporate amazing vast views of the Drakensberg. You are in for a treat!
This event aims to involve the schools, community and charities in the area. This is a friendly personal event which our riders return to year after year!
