Stutterheim High School MTB & Trail Run

The SHS MTB race offers riders and runners the unique opportunity to go and explore the Kologha Forest and Amatola Mountain range just outside of town. The routes have had a face-lift and this is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to conquer the Amatola Mountains.

Starting from the school, riders get to choose between 3 different routes. The die-hards get to do a scenic 45 km route, with a hill or three to warm up the legs. Support will be out on route, for those who might find the hills a bit long. The less adventurous get to do a 30 km ride, less scenic, but still absolutely worth it. Those looking for a Saturday ride outdoors will be well looked after and have the option of doing a 15 km ride.

For those who do not fancy a cycle, we'll have two run routes available. For the fitter runners among us, there'll be a 15 km trail run. For those of us who just want to be outdoors, there'll be a 5 km fun-run/walk, which promises to offer plenty of "gees!"

Afterwards there will be plenty of stalls, where riders, runners and spectators can relax, re-fuel and share their battle tales before making their way back home.
