Your bike slipping or giving other issues, with strange noises etc....this could be the fix you looking for.

Mavic hubs are renowned for the wear of the nylon bush in the hub causing play and don't offer replacements, but rather a replacement of the entire hub. The alternative is to upgrade with the HUBDOCTOR kit which is more permanent with a ceramic bearing pressed into the hub, a bit complicated in my words and the LBS will not guarantee the work either. The kit is more than R1000 which he does not offer to South Africa.
We have researched an alternative to the nylon used in the bush for a more durable suitable material. that can handle the work it is supposed to do.
I found a material, Vesconite is a very durable material and ideal for this application.
It doesn't need much lubrication and does well when water manages to penetrate.
It will take you basically 3 minutes with a portable drill and some 800 grit sandpaper to replace the old one and forget about play on your hub.
They are made slightly smaller than the hub size to accommodate whatever wear has already been made on the hub, so you get a snug fit.
I took it off after just over 3000 Km to inspect and check it out. No issues and still within spec.
The 2nd one has almost 7000 Km on it and still no issues.
If anyone is interested to fix there Freewheel or for a spare, please feel free to contact me.
