Since I got this, it's been the only bike I ride, having done more than 1,400km on the trails around Stellenbosch. Just so uncomplicated and basic - love it! The coil spring suspension fork dampens big jolts while letting all the smaller natural undulations of the trail through. It communicates what the beefy 2.6 tubeless Maxxis tyre is doing beautifully through the straight steerer.
Ample stopping power is provided by the hydraulic Shimano disc brakes while go is transmitted to the speedy rear Schwalbe Rocket Ron tubeless tyre via a tried and tested 1x9 drivetrain. The SunRace 96BCD Narrow-Wide 32T chainring never lets go of the chain up front and the 11T-36T Shimano cassette gives a wide enough range to go anywhere. The saddle is oh so comfy you can ride this without padded pants.
It's got racing pedigree too! Finishing 19th out of 73 in the Riebeek Valley 55km MTB race and 95th out of 203 in the Old Hermon gravel race.
