How to enter

The prize

Santa Cruz Bicycles supports similar successful fundraising initiatives around the world, enabling trail crews to realise their plans for trail expansion while fulfilling riders’ dreams.

The winner can choose any frame model and colour from the Santa Cruz range which will be fitted with a standard Santa Cruz build kit by Rush Sports.

For more details and terms and conditions head over to the TokaiMTB website.

Closing time and date for entry will be midnight on Friday 14th July 2017, after which no further entries to the draw will be accepted. The winner will be announced via Bike Hub and TokaiMTB on Monday the 17th July 2017.

More about the TokaiMTB Trail Fund:

TokaiMTB is a constituted representative group and publicly funded non-profit organisation. As one of the founding members of the Table Mountain Mountain Bike forum, our mandate is to assist SANParks with mountain bike activity management in the Table Mountain National Park, with the aim of providing the recreational users a safe and well-managed mountain bike trail facility.

TokaiMTB is in possession of a SANParks issued permit to construct and maintain mountain bike trails within the Table Mountain National Park, as well as host community volunteer programmes in Tokai. In order to continue operations, TokaiMTB relies on donations from both business and the public. Donation drives take the form of innovative fundraisers and offer rewards to individuals who enter and thereby donate to the fund. This helps TokaiMTB offer users full-time representation and trails management and meet the financial needs of this recreational activity.

Guys, I can't thank and commend you enough for the support this competition has gained! As a spoiled brat when it comes to trails (living in KZN) it is fantastic to see how people from across SA have come together to get behind this competition. I understand that the prize is attractive, but the movement here goes beyond that and speaks to the community that we have formed as cyclists.

I would be interested in hearing your thoughts and feedback as to how we can do more activities like this to generate funds for local trails, as well as what trail centers you believe are most deserving and / or in need of fund raising in this manner? Feel free to post on here or DM me?

Thank you for getting involved with this initiative. Offering a huge prize like this is very generous, and gets the attention of everyone (which is what you wanted to achieve).

Looking forward to more of this kind of stuff in the future

Well, it would be fantastic if someone could build us a few mountains in North-West so we can actually have trails :P You guys are so lucky.

Seriously though, and I apologise for the highjack, we should also support Hubbers when the situation warrants. There is no fancy prize, but please would everyone consider contributing to FRAIL's medical expenses. He does good in the community an now he needs our help.

This really is a great competition.  I've spent hours and hours looking up SC's reading many many reviews on most of the models and watching them on YouTube too.  So from a brand awareness / marketing point of view I'd say objective achieved!
Tokai is obviously going to benefit massively too and I really look forward to seeing that!

Great competition!

It's been amazing to see you guys literally open the wallets for this one, hope you've been happy with the webhits. I'm guessing lots of optimistic okes have been holding off buying their dream bikes just incase they win!

Just wondering... I did enter, but didn't receive any sort of receipt or email confirmation. Is that normal? Obviously one wants to make sure you're in the draw

Can you PM me your details and I'll confirm? Or email trails@tokaimtb.co.za with name and email used.

Quick question, how did you enter? For some reason a few confirmations never reached their destination.

If you received a Payfast confirmation reflecting an order number preceded with a #hashtag, you're in!

If it was manual EFT and you paid and sent your POP, in! (Although we did cross-check every EFT with bank statements and a fine-toothed comb for the few who did not send their POP's.)

If it was Snapscan, oddly, we've not had any issues there.. (and quite a popular payment option too!)

We'll know Monday for sure, unionised bank electronic systems don't get paid enough to work over weekends.
