Following his injury in 2013, Martyn Ashton, trials legend, creator of Road Bike Party 2, and, above all family man and bike rider, began his inspirational journey to get back on track. Joined by his friends Danny MacAskill, Chris Akrigg and Blake Samson and filmed by long time collaborator Robin Kitchin, this is Martyn Back On Track.

I really shouldn't have watched both these videos as I go for knee surgery in 2 weeks time, I dont think I'll be off the bike for too long after watching this now.I posted this a while back. Very similar. Absolutely awesome from both of these guys.

I showed it to one of my problem patients this morning (won't get out of bed or do any rehab post amputation) with a simple question: "So - if he can do it - what's your excuse again?"
Don't know it it will help him, but it made me feel better - takes big balls to come back so quickly from such a traumatic injury, so big up to Martyn for being such an inspiration.

i think for guys like us, doing what we love, passionately & whole heartedly it's going take a whole lot more to keep us down.I showed it to one of my problem patients this morning (won't get out of bed or do any rehab post amputation) with a simple question: "So - if he can do it - what's your excuse again?"

Reminds you to live every day. Respect to his friends for doing that.

Apparently they, his family and he all believed that he would ride again. It was always a matter of how in his and their minds. He's one of those people we can all learn from regardless of what we believe.Reminds you to live every day. Respect to his friends for doing that.

53 weeks ago I was in crutches after ACL reconstruction, I couldn't get into the shower without my wife's help.I really shouldn't have watched both these videos as I go for knee surgery in 2 weeks time, I dont think I'll be off the bike for too long after watching this now.
Push through the pain, doubt and emo days. You will make it. You're life will be better.
And do your rehab. The success of the op hinges around rehab.
Good luck, keep me updated with pm on how it goes, maybe we can make a MTB ride together one day to celebrate your return.
