Totalsports Xterra heads to Buffelspoort

The TOTALSPORTS XTERRA presented by REHIDRAT® SPORT heads to the North West Province early in 2015. Taking place on Saturday and Sunday (24 and 25 January 2015) at the picturesque Buffelspoort Dam (North West Province), participants can expect an adrenaline packed weekend of racing.

XTERRA Warriors can look forward to swimming in the pristine mountain waters of the Magaliesberg. The mountain bike route will include a diverse combination of quick and challenging single track, a rock garden, thick sand track, serious climbs up jeep track and a fun and winding single track descent through indigenous bushveld with spectacular views.

XTERRA Warriors can stock up on energy at the much loved Bokomo Breakfast Zone, while theREHIDRAT® Zone will be a welcomed oasis for Warriors after a tough day of racing. All finishers will receive a well-deserved Totalsports XTERRA medal.

Format: 1.5km swim, 26.5km mountain bike and 12km trail run

Totalsports XTERRA Lite

Date: Sunday, 25 January 2015

Venue: Buffelspoort Dam

Format: 400m swim, 17km mountain bike and 6km trail run

Nope, doubt it will be wetsuit legal. Got this from stillwater sports earlier:

 

Important Swim Information

The dam temperature is over 22 degrees celcius, which means that at this stage, no wetsuits will be permitted. If this changes, we will notify you.

 

Polyotter doesn't classify as a wetsuit, right.... :whistling:

I see temperature forecast is 37 degrees tomorrow!

 

Anyone know if they have beefed up the water points? Last year (admittedly mid field)the last waterpoint was almost finished when we got there.
