Tubeless tyre set-ups can be tricky, or rather messy, for home mechanics. Which is why Squirt Cycling Products have created the Squirt SEAL Tyre Sealant 120ml Easyfill Pouch system. It allows for spill free top-ups of tubeless tyre sealant, leading for more hours of puncture-free riding and cycling enjoyment.

“As cyclists ourselves we’re all to familiar with the hassles of tubeless tyre set-up and maintenance,” Danie van Wyk, of Squirt Cycling Products noted. “Something, which when working well makes your riding experience so much better, can become a nightmare when sealant levels run low or dry out in your tyres. Seating tubeless tyres the first time requires the right tools, in the form of a compressor or compressor floor pump as well as a knack for the job. But maintaining a tubeless set-up, once the tyres are seated, is really easy. Especially with our new Squirt SEAL Tyre Sealant 120ml Easyfill Pouch.”

The 120-millilitre flexible laminate packaging, which can be up-cycled into material for use in road surfaces, roof sheeting and construction decking is filled with Squirt Cycling Products’ biodegradable SEAL Tyre Sealant. The packaging features clear, easy-to-follow, instructions on how to top-up one’s tyre sealant using the Easyfill Pouch.

“Simply remove the valve-core, allowing the tyre to deflate completely. Shake the Easyfill Pouch and fit the nozzle over any standard Presta valve. Then gently squeeze the desired amount of Squirt SEAL Tyre Sealant into the tyre, using the convenient millilitre scale on the back of the pouch to dispense the exact amount required. Replace the valve core, re-inflate the tyre and go for a short, 50-100 metre, ride to disperse the sealant throughout the tyre,” Van Wyk explained.

Regularly topping up one’s tubeless sealant ensures ride enjoyment by plugging punctures when they occur. The Squirt SEAL Tyre Sealant has been tested in the harshest of conditions, including the Absa Cape Epic, and has proven capable of sealing punctures caused by an object of up to 6-millimetres in diameter. This is due to BeadBlock® technology which used not only microfibres but also BeadBlock Granules in the latex formulation to mechanically seal larger punctures.

Along with the new Easyfill Pouch’s hassle-free application benefit it is also more environmentally friendly and easier to transport than the 150-millilitre plastic bottle it replaces. The laminate packaging is reusable for other purposes, unlike the single-use plastic bottles. Yet it is robust enough to be stored in a toolbox or packed in a bike packing bag without risk of leakage.

For the distributors the benefits of the Squirt SEAL Tyre Sealant 120ml Easyfill Pouch include that the geometry of the pouches increases bulk packing efficiency by as much as 53%. This translates into cheaper logistics and increased energy efficiency for transportation. Compared to Squirt Cycling Products’ previous 150ml bottles, the packaging of the laminate pouches weighs 33% less, which further reduces transportation costs.

The Squirt SEAL Tyre Sealant 120ml Easyfill Pouch was rigorously tested by riders and mechanics at the 2022 Absa Cape Epic and passed with flying colours. It will be available in all good bike stores, world-wide, from May 2022. Its about time that someone came up with this great idea....

More power to the cyclists (LBS's might not agree)!

Nice Packaging Should Sell.

Multiple Top Ups Makes Tyres Heavy and Off Balance.

I like to "Mine Out" All the Dried Latex before Topping Up.

I happily use this. Did 2 wheels yesterday and did not spill one drop. Used my floor pump for one but the other, being an existing tubeless tyres1150505-WHITE-1-dG0.jpg.eea5fcf4d5fb56ed1eb47a51bc3a42eb.jpg velcroed together a bit and had to go to service station for air....

A home mechanic that can’t do his own tubeless work needs a bit of practice.

No fancy and honestly wasteful packaging is going to fix that.

Nothing wrong with the solution that Enduro Seal has. Reused that bottle and tube so many times.

I've also used the smaller dispensing bottle over and over again for the last 3 years and just decant from the 1 L. Squirt got it so right with their lube....I can't help thinking this is a bit of "change for the sake of change" a bit like the Lubretto...but that's just my opinion...

Thanks for reminding me that I bought a Lubretto. The lube solution for a problem that didnt exist.

I’ve been using the 50ml Stans’ bottle as my refill option. Remove the valve core and “inject”. Goes with me on all my off-road rides.

it looks a bit like those gel wrappers still lying in the gutters at the top of Suikerbossie weeks after the Cycle Tour........more convenience, more unnecessary waste.

ironically the packaging says "less plastic waste"

chalk up another one to the greenwashing marketing dept

100%. It's not reusable so overall it's MORE plastic. Change for the sake of change. Buying a 1 Litre with a dispensing bottle is pretty much all the packaging you'll need....Squirt you got it wrong. 😃

Didn't MucOff already do this pouch thing years ago?

How so Squirt? I can reuse and recycle the plastic bottles. The laminate plastic is aimed at convenience, ie you have created a product which is aimed at throwaway.

I get your efficiency in transport - that's more margin and profits to Squirt.

Its a idea we should move away from - not market as an environmentally considerate product.

I had so much issues with squirt seal tyre sealant, battled a full Saturday, went to LBS got STANs, first go, the tyre seated and stayed inflated, I have a half a bottle left, too scared to try it again.

Here is my question about that statement.

Who is actually going to recycle that? It isn't like South Africa has the biggest recycling culture.

Point taken, but I prefer reduce, reuse and then lastly if needs be recycle.

I think you will find that most products which are aimed at convenience find their way into waste and not recycle. I wish it were not the case. Just look at the gel packets as a case in point, I see few of them being recycled.

Just to make a point - I am big fan of the Squirt lube and the SA success story - its just a poor product in my view.

It uses less plastic than the previous bottle and uses less fuel to transport. Win and win (albeit pretty small wins).

The "we don't recycle" argument is equally true of the old product (it will be recycled here in Denmark).

I'm not sure how people think this product is worse for the environment than the old one?

All the same people you see carefully folding their gel wrappers for intentional recycling after their ride..........

The product is a direct replacement. Intended for the exact same purpose but is slightly better for the environment. Win win in my book.

True but how do you know it actually gets recycled at some processing plant. How many people know that you need to clean your solid waste before recycling it?

Like I said, South Africa does not have a culture of recycling.

This is not a valid selling point for me on this product.

We have the same intention - environmentally better products, so I say 'lets agree to disagree'.

Perhaps in Denmark they will recycle that wrapper, in SA a very high percentage will end up in wastefill.

Squirt will sell more product, improve operational efficiency and margin. Bottom line.

I think the point is with some of the others the small bottle is reused so you do not dispose of it at all in the short term. The pouch cannot be re-used.

Muc-Off have pouches with concentrated cleaner. You buy the large bottle once and then instead of buying and disposing of the large bottle each time you refill it with a pouch and then dispose of the pouch.

I do think though that most people buy the small bottles and then afterwards chuck them in the bin. For these people the pouch makes perfect sense as a "greener" alternative.
