Yes, from the first weekend in January the WPCA & Boland will provide a Saturday race with a PPA funride on the Sunday.

the races aren't private, the current series LbL is hosted by Boland CU. next year, i can confidently predict that there will be 3 series of racing available.

the Wpca & Boland will each be hosting a series in summer and i believe the ppa will revive its 'league'. the biggest winners will be the cyclist.

at yesterday's race about2time introduced their timing system for races by wpca & boland, so things are looking up for the racing scene

Lights by Linea have been inundated with requests to stage more night time Criterium Races

On the 8th and 12 November 2013, Lights by Linea will be hosting two night time Criterium Races.

The Road Races start at 19h00 and are 60 min plus a lap. This race is for invited Riders and Professionals only, it will be held over a 1.2km circuit and there will be prize money for 1st, 2nd and third positions. We have confirmation from all the top Pro Teams in South Africa and will be holding qualifying events in Cape Town for the remaining spots available.

On the same dates starting at 18h00 for 30 min plus a lap, we will be holding a Mountain Bike Race on the same circuit and registration for this event starts at 17h00.

We are building on the success of the last event and urge all to book tables at any of the Participating Restaurants on the strip. we have some really great new innovations and promise a great evening of Criterium Racing.

One of the true gentleman and really tough Pro's, Reinardt Janse Van Rensburg, has confirmed and will be riding in the Lights by Linea Pro Crit series.

Reinhardt won his first Pro European Race two weeks ago and his participation is truly a huge boost for cycling in the Western Cape. The Argos Shimano Rider has committed to riding at the Killarney Race on the Wednesday evening the 6 November, as well as the two events on Friday the 8 November in Stellenbosch, starting at 19h00 and Tuesday evening 12 November at 19h00.

The racing for the evening starts at 18h00 with a MTB Criterium on the TAR for 30 minutes plus 1 lap, followed by these amazing Athletes. The Road racers will compete for 60 minutes plus 1 lap.

This will be one the biggest festivals ever experienced for Road racers in South Africa.

Make sure you get there!

All the Pro Teams are arriving in Cape Town one by one to compete in the Pro Invitational Night Crit Series in Stellenbosch on the 8&12 November.

Get to Killarney on Wednesday evening to witness these men racing after the presentation of jerseys of the Lights by Linea Future Stars Team, by Reinardt Janse van Rensburg.

The racing on Friday and Tuesday night promises to be an enthralling and action packed evening, where one can witness the best Road Cyclist in South Africa.
