A team of 14 riders representing seven schools have been selected to represent Kwazulu Natal at the upcoming Spur Schools Mountain Bike League national finals at Bekker School in Magaliesburg.

Following an exciting 2015 season, fierce competition is expected when the top riders from across South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe compete for podium positions and ultimately the coveted title of National Spur School MTB League champions this weekend (2-4 October).

Maritzburg College sports the largest contingent with five riders making the team. They are Felix Manke, Ryan Naude, Mitchel Meugens, Mattew Green and youth men 16-years champion Sharjah Jonsson. Ben Carnie and Cayde Muldoon will represent Northwood Boys, while Simone Buys and Jeanelle Van Niekerk will ride in the colours of Suid-Natal Hoerskool. Hillcrest High School team mates Grant Muller and Hayden Vinnicombe and category series winners Tiffany Keep (youth women champion) and Cian Leveridge (youth men 15 years winner) of Thomas More High, Sabrina van Wyk of Epworth Girls High (junior women champion) and Dean Wortmann of Wartburg High (junior men champion) completes the KZN team.
