After months of hard work, Dirtopia will celebrate the move of the Trail Centre and bike workshop to a new building on Delvera farm. Taking the management of the Cafe and Lodge also under their wing, the team of Dirtopia would like to welcome all outdoor enthusiasts to this outdoor village outside Stellenbosch with various events the weekend of 15 & 16 October.
On Saturday the mountain bikers can have fun on the trails of Klapmutskop during the All-Mountain Enduro with three stages. On Sunday morning two new routes for Trail Runners to enter for, but the highlights are definitely the Falke Full Moon hikes on Saturday and Sunday nights.
The Trail Run will have two route options of a 7km and 12km with singletrack sections and beautiful views from the vineyard trails. Medals for all and refreshment station on the route and wonderful lucky draw prizes.
Booking essential for the popular Full Moon hikes with Sunday being the actual Full Moon evening and the moon rises early on Saturday night. Hike to the top of Klapmutskop, to see the sunset over Table Mountain while enjoying your picnic.
The Cafe is open for coffee, breakfasts and lunch all day and also in the evenings only after the organised hikes. Order your picnic in advance or enjoy a cheese platter afterwards. The farm is known for its beautiful views and gardens, so bring the kids to play as well.
The Trail Centre is the perfect base for trail users with info, bike hire, snacks & drinks and of course the bicycle workshop. Book a room at the Trail Lodge as the marked trails are right on the doorstep.
