This comes after Kachelhoffer had a very successful European season with several podiums and a first place on stage six of the Tour d’Ardeche.

Kachelhoffer rode for what was Lotto Belisol Ladies in 2012 so this move is a return to her roots in Europe.

Kachelhoffer said:

I am very happy to sign with Lotto Soudal Ladies. It is a dream come true and I am looking forward to race with one of the world’s best women’s cycling teams. I will do my best in 2016 to help secure the team as many victories as possible. Lotto Soudal will also give me the opportunity to be in top form for the Olympics in Rio.

Dany Schoonbaert, Directeur Sportif of Lotto Soudal Ladies commented:

I have always liked to have South African in my team, to give them the opportunity to ride in Europe. This year An-Li has proved a lot and she is now ready to take the next step. I look forward to her joining the team.

For the European off season Kachelhoffer will continue to ride for her South African team Activate drinks, who have given her wonderful support.

This is fantastic for An-Li, especially after her great results his year.

And I hear a rumour another SA lady cyclist may join the overseas ranks. That is awesome if we have 3 ladies racing in top leagues.

Go Girls !!
