The key to the new saddle line\u2019s comfort is Trek\u2019s AirLoom technology \u2014 a 3D-printed matrix that delivers strategic support under the sit bones and more flexibility under soft tissue, giving riders the support they need exactly where they need it. AirLoom moves with the rider to reduce friction, relieve pressure, and eliminate the need for a foam cover, which can contribute to saddle sores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why lattice saddles?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Traditional foam saddles compress unevenly, spreading pressure and restricting movement. Aeolus Pro AirLoom balances pro performance and price with full carbon rails and a carbon-composite shell that come<\/a> together with lattice technology to weigh just 170g (145mm width). It’s available in 145 and 155mm widths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For increased comfort, Aeolus Elite AirLoom adds more lattice padding over a nylon-composite shell with austenite rails and brings the lattice saddle price point down to a cost that’s attractive to more riders. Riders can choose from a 135, 145, or 155mm width.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
