The Omnium consists of six events completed by one athlete, these six events being the flying lap (race against the clock), 15km Points race, Elimination race, Individual Pursuit, Scratch race and the 1km Time Trial. The flying lap was 250 metres. Salie finished 19th<\/sup>, with Australia\u2019s Jack Edwards taking the gold medal.<\/p>\n Jevandre Pauls competed in the 25km, 100-lap Points race, finishing 20th<\/sup> whilst Benjamin Thomas claimed the gold medal.<\/p>\n South African junior cyclist Charles Mathewson competing in the 2013 UCI Juniors Track Cycling World Championships at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow, Scotland. <\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Photo credit: Roger Bouton<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The women\u2019s 2000m Individual Pursuit saw Somya Kritzinger and Chante van der Merwe take to the track for this endurance discipline. \u201cBoth women had a solid ride, holding their respective schedules with each rider recording a personal best performance,\u201d said team manager and Cycling SA Track Cycling Director Roger Bouton.<\/p>\n The 1km Junior Men\u2019s Time Trial was represented by Charles Mathewson and Kyle Borchjes. Borchjes also recorded a personal best of 1:07.630, which was 4.501 seconds off the winning time set by Maximillian Dornbach from Germany. Mathewson completed the 1km TT in 1:11.817.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
