Cycling Festival is back and the 2014 invitational event is set to attract South Africa\u2019s top cycling talent for a series of four road racing criterium events through the beautiful streets of the West Rand District Municipality from 17-20 September 2014.<\/p>\n<p>The invitational will attract Elite Men and Elite Women cyclists, with no entry fee being charged and the first 100 registered Elite team riders will be considered. The number of riders in the same kit will be limited to eight, but teams with academies, or \u201cB\u201d teams, can still enter their additional riders but in a different type of kit. The Go West Cycle Festival provides an opportunity for the provinces to send provincial \u201cteams\u201d to participate as well.<\/p>\n<p>The Elite women\u2019s race will take place on the final day only, on Saturday 20 September.<\/p>\n<p>Fun rider entries will be accepted on the day for the 110km criterium on the fourth and final day only, on Saturday 20 September.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Race details:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Carletonville<\/strong> \u2013 Wednesday 17 September (17:30) \u2013 (1.48km circuit) 80km \u2013 Men Elite (2hrs of racing) \u2013 spectator friendly<\/p>\n<p><strong>Westonaria<\/strong> \u2013 Thursday 18 September (17:30) \u2013 (1.52km circuit) 80km \u2013 Men Elite (2hrs of racing)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Randfontein<\/strong> \u2013 Friday 19 September (17:30) \u2013 (1.24km circuit) 80km \u2013 Men Elite (2hrs racing)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Krugersdorp<\/strong> \u2013 Saturday 20 September (17:00) \u2013 (2.05km circuit) 110km racing \u2013 Men Elite and Women Elite (3.5 hours)<\/p>\n<p>All teams \/ riders must confirm their entry 10 days prior to event, by 7 September 2014. The event is limited to 100 riders in total. Please send names and full racing license details to Prudence Pietersen at <a href=\"mailto:events@cyclingsa.com\" rel=\"\">events@cyclingsa.com<\/a>. Regret, no late entries will be considered.<\/p>\n<p>The accumulating prize pool offers attractive prize money to competitors. In order for a competitor to be considered for the overall title, all four criterium events need to be completed. All the race events will be broadcast live via live streaming on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.streamit360.tv\/\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.streamit360.tv\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s third gathering of the GO WEST!
