The foundation aims to aid those suffering with the disease and also to help forward research of MND. The foundation has 29 beneficiaries and cares for over 40 families who are affected by MND”.

“Our aim is to raise funds and create awareness for MND through the sport of cycling,” continues Snyman. “Dirk participated in the Pennypinchers Origin Of Trails last year and raves about it. It will be a good event to interact with fellow sportsmen and women, while creating awareness for the foundation. To be part of this event, riding trails that nobody else has ridden is a huge attraction for me. Also nothing beats a stage race, the camaraderie and the atmosphere is really special. Stellenbosch Mountains being so picturesque also adds to the thrill and excitement”.

Event Information:

The Pennypinchers Origin Of Trails is an individual two day mountain bike stage race that combines a vast network of world class trails with beauty and exclusivity.
