<\/a><\/p>\nTeagan O’Keeffe is all systems go and ready for the first leg of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup, which takes place in Manchester, Great Britain, on 18-19 April 2015. \/\/ Photo: Supplied.<\/span><\/p>\n Young rising star Teagan O\u2019 Keeffe is ready to rock. \u201cI feel good for this weekend. It\u2019s my first World Cup since my big injury in July last year, so it is a little hard to judge where I stand with the others. I\u2019m not putting pressure on myself, just going to go out there and give my everything,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Twenty two-year-old O\u2019Keeffe has a number of accolades including 2010 BMX World Champion (Junior Women Cruiser) and has enjoyed traveling the world in pursuit of her Rio Olympics dream.<\/p>\n Although still very much recovering from last year\u2019s injury \u2013 a crash at the practice round of the 2014 UCI BMX World Championships that left her with broken ribs \u2013 the Factory Promax team rider is no stranger to top five positions. \u201cEarlier this year I raced a KZN event and took the win. I also raced a USA Pro national in Desoto, Texas and got 5th place,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Back on the bike and more ready than ever, O\u2019Keeffe feels prepared and is certain that the training hours she has put in will work their magic at the World Cup. \u201cPre season training is never easy because of the high training volume! Everything went good and I\u2019m feeling confident that it will pay off,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n
