Nissan TrailSeeker routes are designed to be fun and friendly, with no highly technical sections, making them rideable for all skill levels. The series caters for those new to mountain biking and families, but with great TV coverage, good prize money and provincial points up for grabs, the serious riders are not excluded.

The the Gauteng series has become a sold out sensation among mountain bikers over the last four years with events selling out weeks before. The key to the success has been Advendurance’s knack for discovering, building and linking existing trails in the “back yard” and bringing a unique blend of adventure and excitement closer to major residential centres.

Expect a welcoming environment at the Nissan TrailSeeker events, including the Nissan Chill Area, great food and ice cold beer. There are also child-minding facilities that allow parents to bring the family, take part and not have to worry about the kids being entertained.

With the Nedbank Sani2c starting next week, expect many Western Cape riders to use this Saturday’s Nissan Helder Berg as an important preparation event, while the professionals and top age-grouper will be looking for important provincial marathon series points.

Entry can be done online at www.trailseekerseries.co.za.

Nissan Trailseeker Helder Berg schedule of events:

Venue: Ridgemor Wines, Somerset West

Registration:

Friday, 8 May at Ridgemor Villa 10h00–17h00

Saturday, 9 May at Ridgemor Villa 05h30–09h00

Event Programme

09/05 07:15 Riders Briefing / Leaders Jersey Handover

09/05 07:30 Start 70km

09/05 08:30 Start 40km

09/05 09:15 Start 20km

09/05 09:30 Start 10km

09/05 10:00 Winner of the Fun Ride 10km Expected

09/05 10:15 Winner of the Fun Race 20km Expected

09/05 10:15 Winner of the 1/2 Marathon 40km expected

09/05 10:00 Winner of the Marathon 70km expected

09/05 13:00 Prize Giving

Nissan Trailseeker Western Cape Series 2015:

Round 1 – Saturday, 9 May: Helder Berg, Somerset West

Round 2 – Saturday, 27 June: Grabouw, Grabouw

Round 3 – Saturday, 10 October: Hemel & Aarde, Hermanus

Round 4 – Saturday, 14 November: Meer & Dal, Durbanville

For more information, visit www.trailseekerseries.co.za.

The Nissan TrailSeeker Series that has become extremely successful over the past four years in Gauteng, will see its first expansion this weekend with Round 1 of the inaugural Nissan TrailSeeker Western Cape Series, the official provincial marathon series of this region.
