You\u2019ll be elated to know that you can now run and cycle on marked trails from your doorstep.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image\" href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-53431600-1433847529.jpg\" data-fileid=\"545186\" data-fileext=\"jpg\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-fileid=\"545186\" class=\"ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed\" alt=\"ccs-62657-0-53431600-1433847529.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-53431600-1433847529.jpg\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The team from Dirtopia has developed a new trail on L\u2019Avenir and Nooitgedacht Estates that even beginner mountain bikers can enjoy and is the perfect after-work training route . On Sunday 7 June a group of 50 riders had coffee &amp; muffins before testing the trail with trail designer, Meurant Botha leading the way. After the ride L\u2019Avenir served tasty boerewors rolls and riders socialised on the lawns of the estate.<\/p>\n<p>The hillier L\u2019Avenir Loop is 4.4km while the flatter Nooitgedacht loop is 8km. Do both and you ride just over 12km or do the Nooitgedacht loop again to do a full 20km.<\/p>\n<p>Trail access is managed via a permit system using the Amarider Trailtag to give users access via the L\u2019Avenir security gate. To obtain a permit, runners or riders can go to the two Dirtopia Trail Centres at Delvera or Stone Square at Welgevonden 7 days a week or buy one at the wine tasting centre at L\u2019Avenir. Permits cost R30 per person per day or R300 for an annual permit. The cost for under 18\u2019s are R20 and R200 respectively.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image\" href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-61879300-1433847531.jpg\" data-fileid=\"545187\" data-fileext=\"jpg\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-fileid=\"545187\" class=\"ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed\" alt=\"ccs-62657-0-61879300-1433847531.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-61879300-1433847531.jpg\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"italic text-sm text-slate-500 block mt-1 mb-4\">Arina &amp; Meurant Botha (Dirtopia partners) and centre Barend Barnard (L\u2019Avenir manager).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The trail is currently open from 07h00 to 18h00 and there is a map available when you buy your permit.
