This will be the first time in history that Sweden hosts a BMX World Cup event.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image\" href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-2-0-89031500-1439562425-1.jpg\" data-fileid=\"580792\" data-fileext=\"jpg\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-fileid=\"580792\" class=\"ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed\" alt=\"ccs-2-0-89031500-1439562425.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-2-0-89031500-1439562425-1.jpg\" title=\"\"><\/a><span class=\"italic text-sm text-slate-500 block mt-1 mb-4\">South Africa&#8217;s Teagan O &#8216;Keeffe is ready and focused for the weekend ahead, where she will represent her country at the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup No.3, which takes place at the Sibirien BMX Arena in Engelholm, Sweden, from 15-16 August 2015. Photo:\u00a9 <a href=\"http:\/\/craigdutton.com\/UCI\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">craigdutton.com\/UCI<\/a> BMX Supercross World Cup<\/span><\/p>\n<p>After her performance at the BMX World Championships in Zolder, Belgium last month, O\u2019Keeffe felt temporarily disheartened. \u201cI was really disappointed in myself after the World Champs \u2013 I made one small mistake, which saw me lose a position and I therefore didn&#8217;t qualify through. I have put it behind me and went straight back to work, reset my goals, and regained my confidence,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Being the first time that Sweden is hosting a BMX World Cup, O\u2019Keeffe feels that all of the riders will be in the same boat in terms of previous experience or advantage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt looks like a nice technical outdoor track so I am excited to ride it. It will be a slightly different experience because it\u2019s nobody\u2019s \u201chome track\u201d therefore there is no home-track advantage.
