Effective 1 January 2016, the team\u2019s new name will be Team Dimension Data.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image\" href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-2-0-34738700-1443179183.jpg\" data-fileid=\"603844\" data-fileext=\"jpg\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-fileid=\"603844\" class=\"ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed\" alt=\"ccs-2-0-34738700-1443179183.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-2-0-34738700-1443179183.jpg\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The team made history this year as the first African team to compete in the Tour de France alongside five other wild-card teams. The team\u2019s tremendous successes in the race included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wearing the prestigious King of the Mountain jersey for four days on the shoulders of Eritrean rider, Daniel Teklehaimanot \u2013 the first African rider to do so\n<\/li>\n<li>Stephen Cummings winning the 14th stage on Mandela Day\n<\/li>\n<li>Team finishing in fifth place overall in the Team competition out of a total of 22 teams\n<\/li>\n<li>Raising over 4,000 bicycles in their <a href=\"http:\/\/teammtnqhubeka.us5.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=4ea750c8dd5c222433ae6091f&amp;id=66fc6320fe&amp;e=3fa0f8e7d7\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">#BicyclesChangeLives<\/a> campaign.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"pullquote\">\nWe are incredibly excited to have Dimension Data become our new title partner. Our partnership, combined with harnessing the power of our technologies to drive transformation within the world of cycling, will help the team accelerate their individual and collective ambitions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dimension Data also confirmed it will continue to support Qhubeka and World Bicycle Relief\u2019s initiative to put more children across the African continent on bicycles, and raise funds to purchase bicycles during the period of the partnership.<\/p>\n<p>Dimension Data is also the Official Technology Partner of A.S.O., and was responsible for processing and analysing the data collated from the riders via sensors located under their saddles at this year\u2019s Tour de France. Through its beta live tracking site, millions of fans were able to follow the race and their favourite riders real-time for the first time.
