{"id":19148,"date":"2015-10-16T10:55:00","date_gmt":"2015-10-16T09:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bikehub.co.za\/news\/2015\/10\/16\/voxwomen-back-strongher-women39s-cycling-initiative-r3676\/"},"modified":"2023-02-08T09:10:14","modified_gmt":"2023-02-08T09:10:14","slug":"voxwomen-back-strongher-women39s-cycling-initiative-r3676","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bikehub.co.za\/news\/voxwomen-back-strongher-women39s-cycling-initiative-r3676\/","title":{"rendered":"Voxwomen back Strongher women&#8217;s cycling initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Voxwomen has partnered with new women\u2019s cycling initiative Strongher to help to continue to raise the profile of women\u2019s cycling and to help make it more accessible to cyclists across the globe.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image\" href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-63415700-1444992817.jpg\" data-fileid=\"615465\" data-fileext=\"jpg\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-fileid=\"615465\" class=\"ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed\" alt=\"ccs-62657-0-63415700-1444992817.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-63415700-1444992817.jpg\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Current women\u2019s Olympic road champion and Rabo-Liv rider, Marianne Vos and her management, Zeloo BV, initially set up the new project however it has since grown to receive support from over 300 ambassadors from a range of backgrounds. <\/p>\n<p>Strongher\u2019s ambassadors all have the same goal, which is to connect professional and grassroots participants to give women\u2019s cycling a stage to help develop the sport further. <\/p>\n<p>Voxwomen has the same outlook as the Strongher initiative and its video content will be used across various Strongher channels to assist with the continued growth of women\u2019s cycling. <\/p>\n<p>Marianne is looking forward to continue to assist with women\u2019s cycling and she said: \u201cWe started (Stronger) almost three years ago. We said, let\u2019s think about how we can grow women\u2019s cycling and how we can get more women on bikes. <\/p>\n<p>Marit Huisman, also part of the Strongher initiative, added: \u201cStrongher is all about giving women a stage to ride. Voxwomen was initially set up to raise the profile of women\u2019s cycling and to introduce people to inspirational female professional cyclists. With Marianne Vos and this strong team of ambassadors, we hope that this new movement Strongher will encourage more media and sponsor coverage to help support and promote the sport.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Voxwomen team of Bryony Burton, Kimberley Keay, Laura Winter and Lois Dowsett have worked hard to create inspirational women\u2019s cycling content over the last seven months and they said: \u201cTo partner with initiatives like Strongher will only help to build the profile of women\u2019s cycling.
