The Best Bike in Africa will be held at the 2015 Standard Bank Africa Cycle Fair<\/a> on 23 – 25 October at St Stithians College, Johannesburg. The competition invites fair visitors to vote for their favourite bike at the Best Bike in Africa stand. All the entrants that vote for the bike that wins the Best Bike in Africa will go into a draw to win the bike. Leading up to the fair, we’ll be be revealing the bikes entered in the Best Bike in Africa. The second bike to be revealed this Monday is Yeti’s SB5c trail bike.<\/p>\n

The most unique feature on the Yeti SB5c is the Switch Infinity technology which allows the central pivot to move up and down. This system is said to improve pedaling and small bump sensitivity when climbing with smoother travel on the way down.<\/p>\n

The 5 in SB5c refers to the five inches of rear travel (or 127 mm for sensible people). Richie Rude rode an SB5c on his way to the Enduro World Series title this year. That being said, he did use the longer travel SB6c at the bigger venues.<\/p>\n

The Yeti SB5c build entered into the Best Bike in Africa features Fox Factory suspension, a (mostly) X01 drive system, Shimano XT brakes, DT Swiss wheels and Easton carbon handlebars. Check out the full list of components below.<\/p>\n
