<\/a><\/p>\nThe Enduro events are geared for real mountain bikers that enjoy singletrack and are fit enough to ride uphills, but more importantly like riding downhills fast! Riders must pre-enter by Wednesday, 11 November and registration opens on the morning from 6h300 with the briefing & start at 08h30.<\/p>\n
More adrenalin junkies like downhillers enjoy this discipline of the sport, but the lady participation is growing and young riders are enjoying it too. Anyone can try this discipline and race director, Meurant Botha loves taking part himself!<\/p>\n
Riders are only timed on certain stages, which are mostly downhill singletrack. The routes are not that technical, but when done at fast speeds, do get tricky… There are normally on average four special stages in a day of the event, and riders go to the start of the next stage in \u2018neutral\u2019 or \u2018liaison\u2019 sections. This creates a social atmosphere and gatherings at the refreshment station, as no-one are in a hurry. Red Bull, Powerade, Coke, fruit, nuts & jellies are available for all riders there.<\/p>\n
The total distances do not matter, as the an-aerobic exercise you get is enough to tire the fittest of riders. Timing is done with Amarider Trail Tags and times are live on raceday.<\/p>\n
Although there are prizes for the top males & females and medals for all, the event is about pure mountain bike riding. Delheim restaurant will sell grab\u2019n go meals and coffee, beer wine will be for sale too.<\/p>\n
This forms part of the Delheim outdoor weekend with a Trail Run on Saturday, MTB nightride on Sat night and there will also be a funride on Sunday with distances of 25km, 12km and 7km.<\/p>\n
