{"id":19048,"date":"2015-11-10T18:20:00","date_gmt":"2015-11-10T18:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bikehub.co.za\/news\/2015\/11\/10\/video-see-things-differently-with-kaleidoscope-r3786\/"},"modified":"2023-02-08T09:04:42","modified_gmt":"2023-02-08T09:04:42","slug":"video-see-things-differently-with-kaleidoscope-r3786","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bikehub.co.za\/news\/video-see-things-differently-with-kaleidoscope-r3786\/","title":{"rendered":"Video: See things differently with Kaleidoscope"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kriss Kyle is widely regarded as one of the most unique and creative BMX riders of his generation and today sees the release of his most ambitious project to date. \u2018Kaleidoscope\u2019 sees the young Scot perform a number of world\u2019s first tricks in an ever-changing environment that isn\u2019t quite what it seems.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"w-full aspect-video\">\n<div><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UggSw4nGfw0?feature=oembed\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Red Bull Media House and Ridley Scott Associates produced Kaleidoscope riding film, uses a combination of moving set pieces and stunning optical techniques which enable Kriss to showcase breath-taking riding, finding riding lines where others might see dead ends.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image\" href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-18027800-1447179551.jpg\" data-fileid=\"628966\" data-fileext=\"jpg\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-fileid=\"628966\" class=\"ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed\" alt=\"ccs-62657-0-18027800-1447179551.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-18027800-1447179551.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Kaleidoscope is the pinnacle to date of a riding career that was born and bred in Glasgow, largely at the Unit 23 skate-park, which Kriss has seen as a second home for the last ten years.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image\" href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-18635500-1447179558.jpg\" data-fileid=\"628967\" data-fileext=\"jpg\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-fileid=\"628967\" class=\"ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed\" alt=\"ccs-62657-0-18635500-1447179558.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-18635500-1447179558.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Speaking of the project Kriss said, \u201cKaleidoscope has been the most surreal thing that I have ever been involved in. Riding a park that is constantly moving and shifting was challenging but enabled me to pull off lines and tricks that have never been seen before. I have had the opportunity to work with creative and technical people from worlds that I never thought I would be part of with my BMX bike. I am so excited by the end result and all the work that has been put in feels justified.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image\" href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-09228500-1447179565.jpg\" data-fileid=\"628968\" data-fileext=\"jpg\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-fileid=\"628968\" class=\"ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed\" alt=\"ccs-62657-0-09228500-1447179565.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-09228500-1447179565.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Director Ben Scott of Ridley Scott Associates said, \u201cKriss is a very special rider. He can look at something quite conceptual and say whether or not he could do it. A lot of what we shot has not been done before. Or if it had, we added another dimension.
