By having some of the greatest riders from each province competing, it really lifts the standard of track cycling. This brings many of the best riders in South Africa together on a regular basis,” he said.

Smith mentioned that the Grand Prix is a prestigious event, which then sees riders compete for individual victories. “By having these track meetings at the same time, we are able to see some of the country’s greatest riders who are there to represent their provinces, then compete for individual glory,” he added.

“The third and final Interprov and GP takes place in Gauteng in two weeks time,” Smith concluded.

Western Cape GP and Interprovincial Summary of Results:

For a full set of Interprov results, click here: http://www.cyclingsa.com/s/20151111_Inter-Prov-2015.pdf

To see results of the Western Cape Grand Prix, click here: http://www.cyclingsa.com/s/20151111_Grand-Prix-2015.pdf

The Western Cape saw an influx of track action over the weekend, as the second round of the Interprovincial and Grand Prix Series took place at the Bellville Velodrome, shortly after the South African National Omnium Champs, on 6 and 8 November 2015. “The second round of the Presidents Cup (Interprovincial) was a great success, […]

[3
1504,3344,1696

post-19043","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-events","tag-bellville-velodrome","tag-national-omnium-champs","tag-track
["GET
