<\/a><\/p>\nThough she is only 23, Candice\u2019s youthful spirit is not to be underestimated as her target is set firmly on the start line of 2016 Rio Olympic Games, which will be her second Olympic appearance. In fact, Mountain Biking was only introduced to the Olympic circuit in 1996, when Candice could just reach the pedals of her red BMX. Fast forward a few years and Candice is representing South Africa at the London 2012 Summer Olympics. DORMA approached this cross-country powerhouse because \u201cCandice is a rider of integrity and that is one of the DORMA guiding values\u201d. Spending 15 to 22 hours on her Cannonade Scalpel bike per week, Candice works on all aspects that will make her faster on the course. This includes endurance, speed, strength, sprints, interval and skills training on both MTB and road bikes. She also does functional strength training to prevent injury.<\/p>\n
