Zoon Cronje Photography\/ Gameplan Media<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s obviously a new team for us but we still have the same goal!\u201d says Hoffman. \u201cAfter having missed out in 2015, we\u2019re hungry to get the title back!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Tour Durban has always been a race I really enjoy, one of the bigger races for me personally and is now also one of our team\u2019s bigger events of the first half of the year,\u201d he adds.<\/p>\n<p>Having claimed a historic hat-trick at the Tour Durban between 2011 and 2013, \u2018The Hoff\u2019 fell agonisingly short of completing a triple triumph at the Cape Town Cycle Tour this past weekend, proving both he and his team mates remain in fine form.<\/p>\n<div style=\"\">\n<a class=\"ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image\" href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-47367900-1457527479.jpg\" data-fileid=\"692970\" data-fileext=\"jpg\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-fileid=\"692970\" class=\"ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed\" alt=\"ccs-62657-0-47367900-1457527479.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-47367900-1457527479.jpg\"><\/a><span class=\"italic text-sm text-slate-500 block mt-1 mb-4\">Team Telkom Pro Cycling&#8217;s Nolan Hoffman is eager for either himself or team mate Reynard Butler to return to the top step of the podium at the 2016 aQuell\u00e9 Tour Durban. Zoon Cronje Photography\/ Gameplan Media<\/span>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cEach year presents different tests and I still enjoy the whole challenge of training and preparing for races and then measuring the success of that by my results at races like the Tour Durban.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m feeling good at the moment but the nice thing about Reynard (Butler) having matured in the big way that he has, is that now he is just as fast as me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is now able to take the pressure off me and I can do the same for him so it\u2019s great to go into big races with two cards to play!\u201d explains Hoffman.<\/p>\n<p>Having achieved success at the Durban event with the Tasol GT and Team Abantu outfits previously, Hoffman is enjoying the new Telkom setup and believes a strong Tour Durban showing will pave the way for the team for the remainder of the year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo far, so good!\u201d says Hoffman. \u201cAs a team we\u2019ve found each other now, we\u2019ve won at least four races already this year and everybody is getting along quite nicely.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ll decide on our plans for the second half of the year after the Tour Durban so hopefully we can keep things going and get a win there which will then give us some added momentum going forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 2016 aQuell\u00e9 Tour Durban takes place on Sunday, 24 April and offers 105km or 45km Road Race and 55km Cyclocross event options. <\/p>\n<p>Normal entries can be submitted online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cycleevents.co.za\/road-events\/aquelle-tour-durban-2016\/\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">www.cycleevents.co.za\/road-events\/aquelle-tour-durban-2016\/<\/a> and until 22h00 on 11 April, after which late entries will be taken at registration at Suncoast Casino &amp; Entertainment World from 10h00-17h00 on Friday, 22 and Saturday, 23 April.<\/p>\n<p>More information can be found at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tourdurban.co.za\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">www.tourdurban.co.za<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Team Telkom Pro Cycling are relishing a trip to KwaZulu-Natal\u2019s East Coast for the 2016 aQuell\u00e9 Tour Durban as they look to return either three time race winner Nolan Hoffman or 2014 champion Reynard Butler to the top step of the popular 105km event\u2019s podium on Sunday, 24 April.
