\u201cAs an exclusive Garmin retail and distribution partner and the only authorised service provider in the country, we will help to keep the team performing at their best.\u201d<\/p>\n
He said each rider has received a Garmin Edge 520 bike computer and a Forerunner 230 watch for training off the bike. \u201cThis technology will support the team in their various training programmes and throughout the racing season.\u201d<\/p>\n
As part of the agreement, the team\u2019s equipment will be kept up to date and they will receive any services they require.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey also stand to benefit from the latest technology when it hits the shelves,\u201d said Rossouw. He said the team would receive ongoing training on the devices to ensure they get the most from Garmin\u2019s technology.<\/p>\n
Brand awareness was also a key component of the sponsorship, he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are planning on generating a lot of content around the team for our digital and social media platforms. We want to show our customers just what is possible with the right technology at their fingertips.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rossouw said the team\u2019s coach could remotely monitor the riders to ensure they train and perform optimally. \u201cThis is a great feature as they are usually scattered all around the country.\u201d<\/p>\n
Besides retail and service centres in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban, NavWorld also have an online store that delivers countrywide.<\/p>\n
