Most recently, Cascades MTB Park has been the venue for the 2015 and 2016 editions of the PMB MTB Festival, which included the UCI HC (Hors Categorie) XCO races for the Pro-Elite Men and Women and formed part of the UCI Junior World Series for the Junior Men and Women. It is also the venue for the 2016, 2017 and 2018 SA MTB Masters Marathon Championships.

KwaZulu-Natal-based and internationally renowned mountain bike route designer and designer of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games MTB course, Nick Floros, is in the plotting and planning stage of the Provincial Championship route and we look forward to sharing details of the route in the coming weeks. It will no doubt be a challenging course to be worthy of crowning a Champion on the day.

Competitors have only one shot to become the Provincial Champion, which makes the unpredictability of cross-country mountain biking even more exciting for the riders and spectators. Entrance for spectators is free, and all are welcome to attend to watch some spectacular mountain bike racing.

Event details:

Date: 25 June 2016
Province: KwaZulu-Natal
Location: Cascades MTB Park
Entries Close: 22 June 2016
Starting Time: 08:00
Registration: Cascades MTB Park, 06:00- 11:00
Late Entries: Yes
Timed By: Elite Timing
ROAG Registration: No
Event Website: http://www.kznmtb.co.za/

Entries are now open and close on Wednesday 22 June.
