Anthony Grote\/ Gameplan Media<\/span><\/p>\n<p>As the organisation expands into other areas of the country, Executive Chairman Richard Munn-Gavin highlights the importance of the aQuell\u00e9 Tour Durban as a means of growing The Domino Foundation\u2019s awareness.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe cycling community reaches into every avenue of business and government, so getting our name out there and making people aware of the work that we do is hugely important.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo be totally honest, that is probably more beneficial than the actual Rands and cents that we receive,\u201d he mentioned at the cheque handover.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe race is then definitely one of the key partnerships that we have in Durban in order for us to do what we do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery Rand that we receive is gratefully accepted and is important in helping us to continue our work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image\" href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-58267300-1472215965.jpg\" data-fileid=\"789419\" data-fileext=\"jpg\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-fileid=\"789419\" class=\"ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed\" alt=\"ccs-62657-0-58267300-1472215965.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-58267300-1472215965.jpg\" title=\"\"><\/a><span class=\"italic text-sm text-slate-500 block mt-1 mb-4\">At the R30 000 cheque handover (from left): Shaun Tait (The Domino Foundation), Tarin Stevenson (The Domino Foundation), Richard Mun-Gavin (The Domino Foundation Executive Chairman), Mike Lewis (Tour Durban), Suzelle Stegen (aQuell\u00e9), Gary Harman (Tour Durban). Anthony Grote\/ Gameplan Media<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Domino Foundation focuses on assisting the youth and helping the young through their many initiatives has given rise to a continued support from the aQuell\u00e9 Tour Durban and business alike.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe race has contributed to our recent expansion that sees us now serve over 5000 beneficiaries \u2013 the poor, the needy, as well as the abused and just those that need a helping hand \u2013 daily.<br \/>\u201cThe help that we provide comes through multiple sectors, including life skills and feeding.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe produce over 80 000 meals every month and we have expanded our feeding programme into the South Coast and surrounds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe work is ever expanding and I think that more and more people are receiving help and benefiting from The Domino Foundation,\u201d added Mun-Gavin.<\/p>\n<p>Being part of an initiative that works so closely with The Domino Foundation is a vital aspect for the Club Cappuccino Foundation Trust \u2013 custodians of the aQuell\u00e9 Tour Durban.<\/p>\n<p>Through the popular Durban based cycle race, Club Cappuccino Foundation Trust are grateful that they can support The Domino Foundation in whatever way possible.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The race has reflected on another successful year and after being able to support such an important initiative like The Domino Foundation,\u201d a satisfied Gary Harman of the Club Cappuccino Foundation mentioned. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The City of Durban continues to play a key role in making the event possible through road closures, the use of venues as well as the use of the Metro Police on the day all of which is crucial to the race being a success.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Let&#8217;s see as many riders as possible come out and support the event in 2017 and who knows, maybe we can even add another zero to that donation figure,&#8221; an excited Harman added.<\/p>\n<p>More information can be found at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tourdurban.co.za\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">www.tourdurban.co.za<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Following another successful edition of the aQuell\u00e9 Tour Durban in 2016, the race recently handed over a cheque for R30 000 to The Domino Foundation \u2013 the race\u2019s major benefactor \u2013 who continue to do great work in helping the underprivileged in and around Durban.
