The chilled jam format session saw Sam Reynolds (GBR) grab second and Nico Scholze (GER) take third place with some big tricks on Saturday 10th of September 2016.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"w-full aspect-video\">\n<div><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QMiPUywvx50?feature=oembed\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The prize giving wrapped up an action packed week of progressive riding at Reschenpass in South Tirol, Italy, during which Austrian Clemens Kaudela boosted one of the highest mountain bike airs of all time out of the 7-meter tall quarter pipe.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"w-full aspect-video\">\n<div><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LoeqAne117M?feature=oembed\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Silva\u2019s perfectly stomped double backflip over the massive \u2018Big Bertha\u2019 step up, secured him the &#8220;Best Trick&#8221; award, however it was his over all riding that put him above the pack, including a \u2018Rock Solid\u2019 on the trick jump, a trick rooted in motocross. \u201cThis was one of the best weeks I have ever had\u201d, said the motivated shredder who was invited via wild card from the \u2018FOCUS Become a Knight\u2019 video contest, \u201cI love this course and I tried as hard as I could. The double backflip on the big jump felt pretty scary though.\u201d Choosing the best trick was a difficult decision for the jury, with many outstanding performances. Nico Scholze\u2019s \u2018Tsunami Flip\u2019 earned a second best trick award and Max Fredriksson\u2019s (SWE) \u2018Backflip Barspin to Tailwhip\u2019 third best trick.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image\" href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-99654500-1473686103.jpg\" data-fileid=\"799974\" data-fileext=\"jpg\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-fileid=\"799974\" class=\"ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed\" alt=\"ccs-62657-0-99654500-1473686103.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-99654500-1473686103.jpg\" title=\"\"><\/a><span class=\"italic text-sm text-slate-500 block mt-1 mb-4\">Adolf Silva double backflip sequence. Photo: Klaus Polzer\/distillery<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Sam Reynolds, course co-designer showed stunning \u2018Superman\u2019 variations, a \u2018360 Flat Spin\u2019 over Big Bertha, boosted huge airs out of the quarter pipe and tore up the flow line. &#8220;I wanted to built the best course ever for the boys to have fun. Being second \u2018Ruler of the Day\u2019 is just the cherry on top,\u201d he said. Third-placed Scholze showed extreme versatility and Big Bike progression. &#8220;This was my first day on a Big Bike here, but it still felt pretty good. I tried what is possible with the bike and, of course, am very happy about the Tsunami Flip&#8221;, said Scholze, who was riding on a bike borrowed from his buddy Patrick Schweika (GER) as he, along with Anton Thelander (SWE) and Szymon Godziek (POL), had to sit out due to injury.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image\" href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-74953000-1473686090.jpg\" data-fileid=\"799972\" data-fileext=\"jpg\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-fileid=\"799972\" class=\"ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed\" alt=\"ccs-62657-0-74953000-1473686090.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-74953000-1473686090.jpg\" title=\"\"><\/a><span class=\"italic text-sm text-slate-500 block mt-1 mb-4\">Max Fredriksson.
