In this episode our challenger will be taking on the glamorous Bartinney Skyfall trail. Watch as Erik Kleinhans and Oliver Munnik take you down the Bartinney Skyfall segment.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"w-full aspect-video\">\n<div><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vzPLOuZ-Ut4?feature=oembed\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"text-2xl font-bold\">The Segment:<\/h2>\n<p>For this episode, we created the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.strava.com\/segments\/13164991\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bartinney Skyfall Contego Segment Hunter<\/a> segment as there appeared to be anomalies in the existing segments resulting in inaccurate times.<\/p>\n<p>The current KOM holder is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikehub.co.za\/features\/_\/articles\/videos\/contego-segment-hunter-1-gert-heyns-takes-on-bloemslang-r4880\" rel=\"external nofollow\">previous hunter<\/a> Gert Heyns and the QOM is held by <span style=\"color:rgb(51,51,51);\"><span style=\"font-family:'Helvetica Neue';\">Deleen-Marie Steyn<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.strava.com\/segments\/13164991\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.strava.com\/segments\/13164991<\/a><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"text-2xl font-bold\">How do I ride this segment?<\/h2>\n<p>The Bartinney Skyfall trail is on the Bartinney Estate wine farm just off Helshoogte Road and forms part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/banhoekconservancy.org\/banhoek-conservancy-permits-membership\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Banhoek Conservancy<\/a> trail network. On a bike, the trail is best approached from the Botsmanskop single track.<\/p>\n<p>Riders must purchase a day permit (if not already a year member) to ride these trails. Permits for the <a href=\"http:\/\/banhoekconservancy.org\/banhoek-conservancy-permits-membership\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Banhoek Conservancy<\/a> can be bought using the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zapper.com\/\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Zapper<\/a> payment app. You can either scan the code <a href=\"http:\/\/banhoekconservancy.org\/banhoek-conservancy-permits-membership\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">online here<\/a> or at Grind Coffee in Stellenbosch or on some of the <a href=\"http:\/\/banhoekconservancy.org\/about\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">partnering farms<\/a>.
