The improvements are far from just aesthetic tweaks, however and come on the back of rider feedback and continued internal R&amp;D over the past years.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image\" href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-2-0-65763100-1474465686.jpg\" data-fileid=\"805970\" data-fileext=\"jpg\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-fileid=\"805970\" class=\"ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed\" alt=\"ccs-2-0-65763100-1474465686.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-2-0-65763100-1474465686.jpg\" title=\"\"><\/a><span class=\"italic text-sm text-slate-500 block mt-1 mb-4\">Photo: Kolesky\/Nikon\/Lexar<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The system \u2013 which are essentially bar-plugs \u2013 allows you store both the plug and reamer tool inside your handlebars. This we know. So what has changed?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It features an improved (i.e stronger) base unit into which the needle and reamer have been recessed deeper.\n<\/li>\n<li>The knurling on the outside edge has been \u2018softened\u2019 to reduce interference with your hands and improve fit into the handlebars.\n<\/li>\n<li>Then the logo has also been recessed to protect it and we\u2019ve made it more visible. ( You have to show off you\u2019re riding smart, right?)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cWe constantly strive to better our product with the feedback from our warriors,\u201d explains the team behind the product. \u201cSmall differences to the product can make a huge difference in the result,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n<p>The SahmuraiSword \u2013 brainchild of three-time Absa Cape Epic champion Stefan Sahm of Team Bulls \u2013 fits snug and locks fast inside the handlebars without any give or movement. It doesn\u2019t affect riding in any way, but is easily accessible when you puncture.
