{"id":17518,"date":"2016-10-12T08:35:00","date_gmt":"2016-10-12T07:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bikehub.co.za\/news\/2016\/10\/12\/video-danny-macaskill-wee-day-out-r5672\/"},"modified":"2023-02-08T07:35:31","modified_gmt":"2023-02-08T07:35:31","slug":"video-danny-macaskill-wee-day-out-r5672","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bikehub.co.za\/news\/video-danny-macaskill-wee-day-out-r5672\/","title":{"rendered":"Video: Danny MacAskill &#8211; Wee Day Out"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Danny MacAskill has raised the bar yet again with a staggering array of bike tricks using man-made and natural features backed by the memorable National Express song from The Divine Comedy.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"w-full aspect-video\">\n<div><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/K_7k3fnxPq0?feature=oembed\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Filmed during the summer, MacAskill pulls off a series of tricks on a day out in between train trips that will take your breath away including a scrub to barrel roll, a submerged water crossing and a hay bale ride.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image\" href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-03270300-1476261476.jpg\" data-fileid=\"818800\" data-fileext=\"jpg\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-fileid=\"818800\" class=\"ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed\" alt=\"ccs-62657-0-03270300-1476261476.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.bikehub.co.za\/production\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ccs-62657-0-03270300-1476261476.jpg\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It is the latest in a run of hit films over the last seven years such as Imaginate, Epecu\u00e9n and The Ridge that has brought the street trials legend global notoriety and 250 million YouTube views.<\/p>\n<p>He revealed, \u201cAlthough I\u2019m doing very abnormal riding, I set out to make a video that hopefully relates to the normal rider.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery rider has had to ride through a puddle when it&#8217;s been a bit unknown how deep the centre of that puddle is, it just so happens that the puddle in my film is 6ft deep.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wanted to do a video on the mountain bike again and give myself creative freedom with this film.
