Photo: Owen Lloyd.<\/span><br \/>The evening of Friday 16 December will see the Western Province Track Classic #12 event taking place, which kicks off the track action for the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday 17 December will welcome the Open Men\u2019s Madison National Championship event, as it was postponed in April this year due to bad weather. There will also be an Open Women\u2019s Madison event \u2013 a first time for a National Title.<\/p>\n<p>In between these events, will be smaller competitions and races throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p>On the morning of Sunday 18 December, the Track Inter-provincials will be taking place, where provinces will be competing for the President\u2019s trophy.<\/p>\n<p>Cycling South Africa\u2019s Interim Track Director, Martin van Wyk said: \u201cWe are excited to be introducing track cycling\u2019s blue ribbon event to women\u2019s cycling and we encourage ladies to start practising their Madison slings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For women cyclists interested in the Madison or those who need help with Madison coaching, contact Martin van Wyk at hptrack@cyclingsa.com for information about your local Madison Coach.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, contact Nigel Isaacs at nisaacs@parliament.gov.za<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cycling South Africa\u2019s Track Commission is pleased to announce an upcoming action-packed weekend of racing at the Bellville Velodrome from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 December 2016.
